Introduction
Hi there- my name is Chris Aguilar, I am a videographer and photographer based in the South Bay. Always looking to meet and talk to other creatives and see what we can learn from each other
Why do you want to join the Venice Surf Photography Meetup Group?
looking for other creatives to learn from and share any experiences that I can offer. As a video person, I don't get too much of a chance to do what I really love- take stills. This group looks super interesting to me since it involves surfing.
What sorts of activities are you looking for in a Meetup group?
mainly group shooting events, maybe the opportunity to have people come in and talk about new ideas and or training on different topics. And of course, social activities
How would you describe your skill as a photographer? Beginner? Intermediate? Advanced?
I would label myself as intermediate. I cannot think of a situation where I was working with a photographer where I felt like I knew everything. Photography is such an amazing activity and there is always a new trick to be learned
Have you surfed or photographed surfing before?
Yes, I am a life long surfer and have been shooting surfing most of my life. In recent years I have become much more interested in exploring photography, particularly analog photography and applying it to sports like surfing and paddling.
